MD 10

I used this glider for testing Timer T10. It is equipped with electronic tow hook. The Radio Module RM1 includes radio DT and radio tracking system in one device. Therefore this model has only one antenna. This is my first model with servo wing wiggler for changing right wing angle of attack. It helps much with adjusting right wing in different flight phases.

This model has very short wingspan and Findahl98 airfoil. It is intended for thermal and strong wind weather.

Crash in Lithuania

I did a crash at world cup event in Lithuania in 2009. It was very windy weather. The starting poles were close to the trees. So the wind was very turbulent. I tried to keep the model on the line, but at one moment the wind gusted and the model goes down on the line. It was very fast. When I realized what happened, I dropped the line, but it was to late. The model hit some tripod on the ground. It was a fatal crash. The wing was cut off by that tripod.

I decided to repair the wing center and use new tailboom. The repaired model looks like new, but one wing is quite heavier.
