My First Free Flight Models

When I started to build my first aircraft model, I just went to the second class. My parents signed me into the aeromodelling club. I was immediately excited by building aircraft models. After a few simple hand launch gliders I began to make small gliders class A3 and A1 and attended some competitions. At that time I also did a lot of plastic models of military airplanes. Already in 12 years I had my first radio controlled model. In the later years I built several RC models and then I began to focus on class F1A.

A3-99

This is my very successful glider class A3. It is a Czech national class of small free flight gliders. Max area 12dm^2, min weight 150g. The towline is 25m long. 60sec is the maximum.

Thanks to 60sec maximum, this class doesn't require as large fields as F1A for example. Ideal class for juniors.
