Acoustic Beacon (Buzzer)

The acoustic beacon is intended to help with model tracking. The laud beeping is very useful especially in high vegetation fields like corn or sunflower. If you don't have any radio beacon, you must have some buzzer at least. The usage with radio beacon is also recommended. My electronic timers have embedded buzzer, so this device is intended for stand alone operation (models with mechanical timer).

It consists from piezo buzzer and from small circuit that produces beeping pulses. The period is about 5 sec and the pulse length is about 0.5 sec. The beeping circuit includes CMOS version of the Timer 555, so the current consumption is insignificant between pulses.
