Radio Module RM1

This radio module is intended for wireless communication with free flight model. It is possible to transmit or receive data packets. The module can be connected to the Timer T10 via UART interface. Or it can works with any other timer, which has got a DT input with pull-up resistor. Furthermore, this device is able to transmit pulses of carrier frequency, so it can be used for radio tracking as a radio beacon. Communication with wireless Setuper is possible. Text messages are sending between Timer T10 and wireless Setuper over this radio module.

There are two versions of Radio Module. The Red version module forwards all received commands to the Timer. Therefore this version doesn't correspond with FAI rules and it is intended only for model testing.

The Black version module forwards only DT and EFT (Extended Flight Time) commands (other commands are ignored). For an official flight only the Black version module should be used!!!

Each user has an unique frequency channel and 32-bit address. Besides, the data packet contains 16-bit CRC checksum and finally, the whole packet is Manchester encoded. This makes the data transfer very safe.

  • Data packet contains unique 32-bit address and 16-bit CRC checksum for safe transmission.
